Fire Risk Assessments & Design

There are many regulations that need to be met and we can assist you to ensure your workplace is fully covered. We can carry out fire risk assessments to outline where you comply, where improvements are required, and where immediate action needs to be taken. We ensure that all systems are designed to meet the criteria of 3 categories of M (Manual) P (Property) L (Life).

All of our systems operate on an open protocol basis, which allow our customers a much greater choice of manufacturer and, if required, to have a reliable automatic detection linked to an Alarm Receiving Centre.

All of our engineers are qualified and participate in an ongoing training schedule to meet the regulation requirements. They also go through strict CRB checks so are able to work in education or caring environments.

Fire System Inspection

In the event of a small fire, a fire blanket or fire extinguishers using water, CO2, foam, powder or wet chemical are usually the first line of defence, and will successfully extinguish the fire in over 80% of instances. Therefore it is essential that this type of extinguisher be tested regularly. Our tests include internal and external inspection of all working parts and triggering mechanisms, checking for any corrosion or faults, and ensure they are properly pressurised and conform to BS:5306 part 3.

It is essential that regular maintenance inspections are carried out to ensure that there has not been major failures of any of the fire detection or fire alarm equipment that may otherwise go unnoticed. The period between visits to undertake inspection and service should be based upon risk assessment, but the maximum period between visits should not exceed six months. A visual inspection of the building should also be carried out to check whether any structural or occupancy changes have been made that may require changes to the fire detection and fire alarm system. We can arrange for regular inspections to be carried out, so you don’t have to worry when your next inspection is due. During an inspection should we discover any faults with your alarm system we provide maintenance repair, and re-testing services for all types of fire detection and fire alarm systems.

We provide maintenance and testing services for the following system types:

• Conventional Systems
• Analogue Addressable Systems
• Wireless Systems
• Voice Alarm Systems

All of the systems we design, install and maintain meet the statutory British Standards relating to fire alarms in non-domestic premises BS5839-1:2002+A2:2008 and BS 5839-6:2004. We pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our customers, and have high quality repairs maintenance and installation service standards, which guarantees customer satisfaction every time.
